The China Belgium Technology Center (CBTC) project is located within UCLouvain Science Park (Louvain-la-Neuve) with proximity to Brussels. Its total estimated investment is 90 million euros (Phase 1).

CBTC is designed to be a science complex stretching over 8 hectares, with total construction area of 120,000 sqm (Phases 1,2 and 3).

CBTC aims to build a platform for hi-tech China-EU Innovation and Cooperation, including strategic investment, R&D cooperation, technology transfer and market entry etc. The targeted industry will focus on Lifesciences, ICT, and smart manufacturing etc..

The phase 1 of CBTC will cover one hotel and five tower buildings. Upon completion, it will have capacity to welcome around 100 companies, the needs of a co-working space, well-equipped conference facilities and a hotel for business executive stay have been taken into full consideration. The whole CBTC project (3 phases) will last around 10 years.
